Overnight talks between Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid over the world record transfer of Gareth Bale have reportedly gone well and the Welshman could be announced as a Los Blancos player on Sunday.
The two clubs have been negotiating over an £86m move for the two-time PFA Player of the Year throughout the summer, but the Spanish giants have been frustrated by Spurs' delaying of the deal.
However, Sky Sports News reports that Bale's switch to Spain is now closer than ever to completion following positive meetings between Real and Tottenham representatives.
The same source claims that Bale is expected to be confirmed as a Madrid player on Sunday and then unveiled on either Monday or Tuesday, if Wales manager Chris Coleman permits him to leave from international duty.
Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela's arrivals at White Hart Lane are believed to have been key to Spurs finally allowing the winger, who scored 21 goals for the Lillywhites last season, to edge closer to his dream move.
