Manchester United attempt to sign Fabio Coentrao on loan?

Manchester United make a bid to sign Real Madrid's Fabio Coentrao on loan, according to reports.

Manchester United have reportedly made a bid to sign Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao on loan.

The Portugal international, who was rumoured to be a target for Tottenham Hotspur, has found opportunities in the Spanish capital limited recently.

David Moyes made a late bid on transfer deadline day to bring Coentrao to Old Trafford on loan but it is unclear whether the bid has been successful, according to BBC Sport.

The 25-year-old joined Madrid from Benfica in the summer of 2011.
