The promoters of the upcoming US Grand Prix in Austin are pleased that Max Verstappen is no longer dominating the Formula 1 scene.
Bobby Epstein, the executive chairman of the Circuit of the Americas, noted that ticket sales for the event later this month surged as soon as Red Bull's struggles began.
Reuters quoted Epstein saying he had anticipated the "weakest year since the pandemic" in terms of attendance had Verstappen continued to extend his winning streak.
However, it's a disappointment for the race organizers that Daniel Ricciardo, a fan favorite who frequently refers to the US Grand Prix as his 'second home grand prix', has been dropped by Red Bull.
"I hope he's still coming here because we've got a lot of people that would love to shake his hand or get his autograph or take a picture or just see him around town. We'll keep him busy," Epstein remarked.
