Nigel Adkins has not been mentioned once in the Southampton programme for tonight's Premier League clash against Everton.
The 47-year-old was sacked as manager of the Saints late last week and was immediately replaced by former Espanyol coach Mauricio Pochettino.
However, despite the fact that Southampton rose from League One to the Premier League in just two years under Adkins's guidance, there was no word of thanks in the matchday magainze at all.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, former Manchester United defender and now-pundit Gary Neville described the omission of Adkins's name as "terrible" and "ridiculous".
"That's terrible. There is a way to do things in life. Nigel Adkins is a grown man and he knew what he was getting in to. He wouldn't want people to feel sorry for him," he said.
"But to not actually have some type of tribute or mention Nigel Adkins anywhere, almost removing from Southampton's history in 24 or 48 hours, is ridiculous."
