Sheffield Wednesday secure Matty Fryatt from Hull City on loan

Sheffield Wednesday secure the services of Matty Fryatt from Hull City on a one-month loan deal.

Hull City striker Matty Fryatt has completed a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday following his attempts to leave in the summer transfer window.

The Owls have confirmed that the 28-year-old has signed a one-month loan deal and is eligible to play against Doncaster Rovers this weekend.

Fryatt had been close to a switch to Nottingham Forest in August, but failing to receive assurances of a future permanent deal reportedly led to the move's collapse.

Following his attempts to leave, Hull manager Steve Bruce claimed that he was open to letting Fryatt move once the loan window opened.

Leeds United were also said to be interested after manager Brian McDermott was spotted watching Hull's 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the third round of the Capital One Cup earlier this week.
