Kevin Davies has revealed that he will give "serious consideration" to any potential approach from Sheffield Wednesday.
The 36-year-old is currently looking for a new club after being released by Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season.
Championship side Wednesday are the latest team to be linked with the veteran striker.
"When I was younger, I supported Sheffield United but my father supported Wednesday, so we were pretty split as a family," Davies told The Star.
"Everyone's different, of course, but if it's a club that appeals to you - the manager, the fans and the team - I would have to look at it. If an offer does come, then I'll give it serious consideration."
Davies previously played under current Wednesday boss Dave Jones at Southampton.
