Glasgow Rangers have opened up a seven-point advantage over rivals Glasgow Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premier League with a 0-2 victory at Hibernian this afternoon.
Neither side managed to claim the ascendancy during the opening 45 minutes as goalscoring chances were few and far between.
However, after the break champions Rangers scored twice courtesy of striker Nikica Jelavic.
The Croatian's first came from the penalty spot with an hour played after Lee Wallace had been brought down inside the penalty area by Michael Hart.
Their advantage was doubled nine minutes later when Jelavic headed in Gregg Wylde's cross.
Celtic can cut the lead to four points with a win over Hearts later today.
