Queens Park Rangers forward Jamie Mackie has expressed his disappointment at fans who booed captain Joey Barton during Wednesday's 3-2 win against Liverpool.
Some sections of the Loftus Road crowd jeered Barton when he was replaced by Mackie before the R's launched their remarkable comeback.
"You don't like to see that, especially towards your captain," said Mackie, who scored his side's last-minute winner against the Merseysiders.
"Joey is an immensely strong character, so I don't think we need to worry about him.
"He was probably the happiest lad in the changing room after the match. He is the team captain and he wants us to win games whether he is banging the goals in or not and we are lucky to have him."
Wednesday's victory was enough to lift Rangers out of the relegation zone with nine games to play.
