Mark Hughes slams QPR's performance as "unacceptable" and claims that they forgot the fundamentals.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has slammed his side's performance as "unacceptable" after losing 5-0 at home to Swansea City.

Swansea took an early lead and were able to pick off QPR on the break, and Hughes said that his side forgot the "fundamentals".

"We were exceptionally poor today," Hughes told Sky Sports News. "Probably the one positive was our initial start."

"[However] when you concede first Swansea can then keep possession and pick you off. Our tempo was not quick enough, they could get men behind the ball and our passing was poor today.

"The fundamentals we work on week in week out were not there today which is unacceptable."

Swansea's new signing Michu scored two and hit the bar on his debut today.
