Aiden McGeady joins Preston North End on loan

Preston North End sign Aiden McGeady on a season-long loan from Premier League side Everton.

Preston North End have signed Aiden McGeady on a season-long loan from Premier League side Everton.

The 30-year-old joined Everton from Spartak Moscow in 2014, but has largely struggled to settle at Goodison Park and spent the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, scoring once in 13 appearances.

After being deemed surplus to requirements by new Toffees boss Ronald Koeman at the start of the 2016-17 campaign, the Republic of Ireland international has moved on once again.

McGeady has scored five times in 85 appearances for his national team.
