Henri Lansbury hopeful of agreeing new Nottingham Forest deal

Henri Lansbury is hopeful that he will sign a new deal at Nottingham Forest when the club's takeover is completed.

Henri Lansbury has claimed that he wants to sign a new contract with Nottingham Forest once the club's proposed takeover is complete.

The 26-year-old has been at the City Ground since 2012 after joining from Arsenal, and has just seven months left on his current deal.

At the moment, the Championship outfit are believed to be in talks with American businessmen John Jay Moores and Charles Noell regarding a £50m takeover.

Lansbury is not concerned about his future, though, as he expects fresh terms to be ironed out once the sale has gone through.

"It's my second home now really from being at Arsenal for so long," Lansbury told Sky Sports News. "They've made me feel welcome since the day I arrived, it's been a fantastic adventure so far.

"Once the takeover is done, we'll sit down and try and find an agreement. I think [the takeover] will get resolved, I've spoken to the manager about it and he thinks it's going to get done soon. They've given him their backing and we're right behind it."

Lansbury previously spent five years at Arsenal before moving to Forest.
