Fulham boss Felix Magath defiant following Nottingham Forest defeat

Fulham boss Felix Magath remains upbeat following his side's sixth defeat in seven games.

Fulham manager Felix Magath was upbeat following his side's 5-3 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

The under-fire German insists that he is "completely confident in [his] job" despite his team's position at the bottom of the league with six losses out of seven.

"I don't think about my position. I just work with my team. They played very well and scored three times. We were very unlucky," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"I understand the fans' frustrations. I'm very sad we are bottom with one point. It is terrible for the players, myself and the supporters.

"We missed a chance to make it 4-2 and unfortunately we made a mistake to let them back in. I thought they got a lucky win. It was very good for the team to fight back from that and when we got in front, I thought we were the better team."

Magath also criticised referee Darren Deadman for awarding Forest a controversial penalty in the first half and insisted that the decision impacted on the outcome of the game.
