Holland captain Mark van Bommel is unhappy at the level of criticism both he and his team have faced after a poor start to Euro 2012.
The Dutch are facing an embarrassing early exit from the tournament after losing their opening two matches to Denmark and Germany.
Skipper Van Bommel is frustrated at the attacks on his side and does not agree with those lining up to condemn his team.
Van Bommel said: "I read the criticism, and I understand it. But I do not find it justified.
"These past four years, we were kings, and I didn't hear anything. Now we have no value."
Holland are still alive in the competition by the narrowest of margins. A win against Portugal on June 17 will give the Dutch a chance to become the first team in European Championship history to qualify from the group stage after starting with two defeats.
