Montpellier HSC and Lens shared the spoils in a six-goal Ligue 1 thriller at the Stade de la Mosson this evening.
The contest started with a bang as Morgan Sanson got his name on the scoresheet with less than a minute played, putting the hosts in front from close range following good work by Jonas Martin.

Lens looked as if they had an uphill struggle on their hands to get back into the game in the 16th minute when Lucas Barrios doubled Montpellier's advantage, but they added a consolation straight after the restart through Pierrick Valdivia.
They completed their comeback in the 34th minute as Ludovic Baal played a dangerous cross into the box, which Baptiste Guillaume met with a bullet header that made the net bulge.
However, Montpellier were back in front just after the hour when Anthony Mounier popped up inside the six-yard box and tucked a shot beyond Lens goalkeeper Rudy Riou into the bottom corner.

The end-to-end action continued, and Lens secured the point that they deserved in the 80th minute when Yoann Touzghar gained possession following a set piece and fired into the top corner from inside the box.
The result leaves Lens in the relegation zone by two points, while Montpellier blew the chance to move level on points with eighth-place Monaco.
