Millwall manager Steve Lomas has revealed that he would like to sign former Norwich City striker Simeon Jackson.
The 26-year-old Canada international was released by the Canaries when his contract expired at the beginning of this month.
However, Lomas has admitted that he will face competition for Jackson's signature.
The Lions boss told NewsAtDen: "He's the right type for us - he's quick and he can score goals.
"But I will be one of about 10 managers that wants Simeon Jackson because he's done very well at Norwich. Some people were a little surprised that they let him go.
"I like the boy. I think he's got something about him and we want hungry players. I like him because he plays like he's hungry and, when you get that, it's a nice little combination."
Jackson scored three goals in 19 appearances for Norwich last season.
