Theo Walcott: Wayne Rooney injury a "horror film"

Theo Walcott reveals the extent of Wayne Rooney's head injury and admits that it is not a "nice sight".

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has revealed that Wayne Rooney's head injury is like a "horror film".

The Manchester United striker has been ruled out of England's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine after suffering the injury during a training ground incident.

"I have seen the actual injury and it is not a nice sight to be honest," The Mirror quotes Walcott as saying. "It is not going to help his looks I wouldn't think.

"I have seen a picture and it is a very, very big gash. It's not nice to see. It's like something out of a horror film."

England will take on Moldova at Wembley on Friday.
