Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Kai Havertz as the Bayer Leverkusen star has indicated that he is open to joining the Premier League side.
The Red Devils have been tipped to move for the in-demand German forward at the end of the season following another impressive campaign in the Bundesliga.
Last week Havertz, 20, became the first player in German top-flight history to reach 35 goals before the age of 21 with his winning strike against Freiburg.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United have a realistic chance of signing the Leverkusen attacker as he is interested in a move to English football.
Given the growing interest in Havertz, however, and the fact that he has another two years to run on his contract, Bayer could demand in the region of £80m for their prized asset.
Chelsea and Liverpool are also believed to be keen on signing Havertz, while Bayern Munich recently confirmed their interest.
