Police at Old Trafford confiscate a Manchester United fanzine featuring a cut-out Ku Klux Klan-style hood with the legend 'Suarez is innocent'.

Police at Old Trafford seized thousands of copies of a Manchester United fanzine that featured a "potentially offensive image" this afternoon.

The edition of Red Issue featured a cut-out Ku Klux Klan-style hood emblazoned with the legend 'LFC' and '(Luis) Suarez is Innocent'.

Match commander Chief Superintendent Mark Roberts said: "Shortly before kick-off we were made aware that a Manchester United supporters' fanzine being sold outside Old Trafford featured a potentially offensive image.

"Officers are now seizing the fanzines and in consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service we will take appropriate action against anyone either found selling this particular fanzine or provocatively displaying the image in public."

On the pitch, the game also turned sour after Suarez refused to shake the hand of Patrice Evra, the man he racially abused.
