Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino targets "another 100 games" for the club after recently racking up a century of appearances.

Roberto Firmino has suggested that he is ready to commit his long-term future to Liverpool after declaring himself "very happy" with life at Anfield.

The 26-year-old, currently away on international duty with Brazil, has contributed 27 goals in 101 appearances in all competitions since signing from Hoffenheim in 2015.

Firmino racked up his milestone 100th appearance for the Reds in the 1-1 draw with CSKA Moscow earlier this year and, with talk of a new deal being imminent, the forward is now targeting another century in a Liverpool shirt.

"It's great for me. Ever since I received the proposal to come to Liverpool, I've been very happy," he told the club's official website. "I never thought twice about coming to Liverpool. I am very happy here at Liverpool, it's a very good club, at a very high level, a big club. I enjoy playing here and I am pretty happy to have recently reached my 100th game.

"I hope I can get another 100 games for Liverpool and to achieve a lot of good things; to win as many trophies as possible and achieve success. I am pretty content because I am a person who demands a lot of himself; I always want more and nothing is ever 'perfect' for me. It's great but it could be better. That's always my kind of thinking – to keep wanting more."

Firmino has featured 11 times for Liverpool so far this term, most recently coming on as a sub in the 1-1 draw against Newcastle United.
