Agent: 'Iago Aspas won't leave Liverpool'

Liverpool striker Iago Aspas will not be leaving the club in the summer, according to the player's agent.

The agent of Liverpool striker Iago Aspas has insisted that the Spaniard will not be leaving the club in the summer.

Aspas revealed earlier this month that he intended to seek a move away from Anfield, but his representative, Rodriguez Baster, has ruled out a transfer from the Merseyside outfit.

Baster is quoted by Astralfootball.com as saying: "There is no possibility of a return to Spain for Iago, or for a move elsewhere.

"Iago has a four-year contract with Liverpool and he is happy to be at the Reds, aside from the fact that he would certainly like to play more.

"But, Brendan Rodgers is happy with him and they are not thinking about a transfer."

The former Celta Vigo striker has scored just once in 14 appearances this season.
