Iago Aspas eyes Liverpool exit

Liverpool striker Iago Aspas admits that he is looking to leave Anfield at the end of the season.

Liverpool striker Iago Aspas has revealed that he is keen to secure a move away from Liverpool at the end of the season.

Aspas has found his appearances limited due to the exceptional form of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, and the Spaniard believes that he needs to seek a new club to revive his career.

The 26-year-old is quoted by The Metro as saying: "I am not a 20-year-old anymore. I can't go on loan and explode.

"I think that the best would be to transfer to another club and that I find the best fit for myself and the club."

Aspas, who signed from Celta Vigo last summer, has failed to score in 13 Premier League appearances, with his only goal coming against Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup in January.
