Liverpool could face a points deduction if they are found guilty of 'tapping up' Fulham forward Clint Dempsey.
The Merseyside outfit are currently under investigation by the Premier League after the Cottagers lodged an official complaint regarding the Reds' pursuit of the USA international.
While Liverpool are likely to be dealt a hefty fine if found guilty of illegally trying to lure Dempsey to Anfield, there is a possibility that the club could suffer a points deduction.
Reports have claimed that the West London outfit made the formal complaint last month after manager Brendan Rodgers publicly expressed his interest in the player.
