Leeds United assistant manager Mick Jones expects striker Luciano Becchio to attract interest from other clubs during the January transfer window.

Leeds United assistant manager Mick Jones has admitted that he is 'fearful' that striker Luciano Becchio could leave the club in January.

The Argentine forward has scored 19 goals for the Championship club this season and Jones believes that it is inevitable Becchio will attract interest during the transfer window.

Jones told BBC Radio Leeds: "My biggest fear is that there could be pressure on us from other clubs for him.

"Look at his form at the moment and he's bound to be hot property. I'd be worried if certain clubs came in for him both here and abroad."

Becchio joined Leeds from Spanish side Merida UD in 2008.
