Team News: Ipswich Town's Freddie Sears handed full debut

Ipswich Town hand a full debut to striker Freddie Sears for tonight's visit of Sheffield Wednesday.

Mick McCarthy has made five changes to the Ipswich Town side that recorded a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Rotherham at the weekend.

Striker Freddie Sears is given his full debut as he partners Championship top scorer Daryl Murphy up front, while Stephen Hunt, Teddy Bishop and Darren Ambrose come into the midfield.

Jonathan Parr also slots into the side in place of Tyrone Mings.

Sheffield Wednesday are without suspended duo Glenn Loovens and Chris Maguire, while Jose Semedo misses out with an infected toe.

New Owls signings Sergiu Bus and Silva Filipe Melo have to settle for places on the bench.

Ipswich Town: Bialkowski; Parr, Chambers, Smith, Berra; Skuse, Bishop, Ambrose, S. Hunt; Murphy, Sears.

Sheffield Wednesday: Westwood; Vermijl, Lees, Dielna, Mattock; McGugan, Lee, Hutchinson, Helan; May, Keane.

Here's what the Sports Mole Sofa had to say about this evening's game at Portman Road.
