Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov has labelled Harry Forrester a "muppet" for not being transparent about injury and health problems.
Forrester joined Rovers in the summer from Brentford but has appeared for just 12 minutes in the league this season back in August.
Since then he has been troubled by both injury and viral problems, which he wasn't completely forthright about with the club, explained Dickov.
"Harry was a bit of a muppet to tell you the truth," Dickov told the Green Un. "He played in a reserve team game and felt his thigh tightening up but because he was that eager to play he didn't really tell us.
"And then he was carrying a virus and he didn't tell us about that either through his enthusiasm.
"Obviously when you put those two things together and he goes and plays in another reserve team game, he ruptures his thigh."
Forrester may return to full fitness in time to feature for Rovers, who are 20th in the Championship, before the end of the year.
