Report: Christian Atsu ends Bournemouth loan to return to Chelsea

Chelsea reportedly decide to recall Christian Atsu from his loan at Bournemouth with the Ghanaian having not made a single Premier League appearance for the Cherries.

Christian Atsu has reportedly been recalled from his season-long loan at Bournemouth to return to Chelsea having not made a single Premier League appearance for the Cherries.

Atsu, who was named Best Player at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations last year, joined Bournemouth in May shortly after the South Coast side's promotion from the Championship.

The 23-year-old winger was hampered by a back injury in pre-season and then went on to play twice in the League Cup early in the campaign before suffering a stress fracture to his shin while on international duty with Ghana in September.

He has not featured for Eddie Howe's side since and Chelsea have now decided to call time on his stint with the Cherries, according to the Daily Echo.

Atsu, who joined Chelsea from Porto in August 2013, is yet to make his debut for the Blues.
