Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher tips Chelsea to win the Premier League title this season.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes that Chelsea will beat their rivals to the Premier League title in the 2013-14 campaign.

Reigning champions Manchester United will try for their 14th title under new manager David Moyes, but Carragher believes that Jose Mourinho's Chelsea have enough quality to go all the way.

"If I had to pick one side to win the league I would pick Chelsea," Carragher told Sky Sports News. "I just think they are a very good team. You look at last year and Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale and Robin van Persie were the top three players, but numbers four and five were Juan Mata and Eden Hazard - and they could, this season, go on to be the best players in the Premier League.

"The obvious three will be Chelsea, Man United and Man City. I see the top three the same as it is now, but I'd expect Chelsea to make a much stronger challenge for the title and maybe just pip Man United."

Carragher, who retired from football at the end of last season, will begin his new role as a Sky Sports pundit for the new campaign.
