Dick Advocaat: 'I want to give Jose Mourinho a tough afternoon'

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat reveals that he wants to give Chelsea and manager Jose Mourinho a tough afternoon on the final day of the season at Stamford Bridge.

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat has urged his players to end their season on a high and disrupt the title celebrations of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Black Cats secured their Premier League survival with their goalless draw against Arsenal during the week and have little to play for other than pride against the champions.

However, Advocaat has outlined his desire to give opposite number Jose Mourinho a tough afternoon before his team lifts the top-flight trophy.

"We know that we're staying in the division so for both teams there is no pressure," Advocaat told the club's official website.

"Chelsea lost 3-0 last week and they love to win, so knowing their coach they will be desperate to beat us.

"With our work rate we can give everyone a difficult time and we would like to do something on Sunday, so why not? I would like to give Mr Mourinho a difficult afternoon."

Advocaat has also revealed that Sunderland have to convince him that they will invest in six players for him to remain as their manager beyond the end of the season.
