Cardiff City midfielder Mats Daehli to make Freiburg switch in January

Cardiff City confirm that midfielder Mats Daehli will move to German side Freiburg at the start of 2015.

Cardiff City have confirmed that midfielder Mats Daehli will join Freiburg on January 3.

The Norwegian has struggled for first-team action under new manager Russell Slade, making just two appearances in two months.

The 19-year-old moved to the Bluebirds from Molde in January.

"We would like to place on record our thanks to Mats for his contribution and wish him the very best for his future," read a statement on the club's official website.

Daehli has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Cardiff this season.
