Blackpool boss Paul Ince admits that it would be hard to take if his side were relegated from the Championship with 55 points.

Blackpool boss Paul Ince has admitted that it would be hard to take if his side were relegated from the Championship.

The Tangerines are 14th in the table following their 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday and are just four points clear of the relegation zone with three games to play this season.

"The fight to avoid relegation is madness. You'd hope it'd calm down a bit but it hasn't and it seems to be the teams below us who are picking up points against top teams," he said.

"Anyone can beat anyone in this league, but since I've been playing football I've never seen a league as close as this. It'd be hard to take if anyone went down on 55 points."

Blackpool travel to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday as they look to secure their Championship status for next season.
