Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has claimed that the club must spend their transfer budget correctly if they are to return to the Premier League.
Kean, whose side were relegated to the Championship last week, insists that experienced players are key if they are to be promoted at the first time of asking.
The Scot told the Daily Star: "The key is making sure that the money which we get is spent wisely. I think you can be shrewd and really astute in getting the proper players in.
"There must be a blend. We have had a very young side in the Premier League and we need to make sure that we have got the experience which can help us through.
"Using that parachute money and other finance and investment will be the key to building the squad. I'm very confident we will get a good proportion of the money."
Rovers travel to Chelsea on Sunday for their final Premier League fixture.
