Birmingham City boss Lee Clark says that it "has been a challenge" managing West Ham United's Ravel Morrison.

Birmingham City boss Lee Clark has admitted that it "has been a challenge" managing Ravel Morrison this season.

The former Manchester United youngster spent last season on loan at Birmingham from West Ham United, with the playmaker impressing for the former Premier League club.

Morrison has previously been criticised for his conduct away from the pitch, but Clark has insisted that he wants to re-sign the 20-year-old.

"I have made it common knowledge that I would like to re-sign Ravel Morrison and Shane Ferguson. We have registered our interest in bringing those lads back so that's a possibility," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"Ravel and Shane have both indicated to me that they would like to come back. The thing with Ravel is that, for a manager, he has been a challenge, without a shadow of a doubt.

"But it's a challenge I have relished and I have enjoyed trying to help him learn, not just about the football side, but off-the-field stuff, how you behave as a professional."

Birmingham finished 12th in the Championship table.
