Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has reportedly made it clear that he would like to sign Hull City's Jake Livermore in the summer.
Sherwood worked with Livermore during his spell as technical director at Tottenham Hotspur before the midfielder broke into the first-team squad in North London.
According to The Mirror, the Villa boss is keen to link up with the 25-year-old once again, and the club will make an offer to Hull if the Tigers fail in their bid to avoid relegation.
It remains unclear how much Hull will demand for a player who has played a key role in Steve Bruce's plans, but relegation could force the club to sell a number of stars this summer.
Livermore, who has won one England cap, moved to Hull for £8m last summer after impressing on loan at the KC Stadium.
