Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bringing Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir to the club when the transfer window reopens in January.
The 21-year-old has impressed in Ligue 1 this season, scoring six goals in 12 appearances for Les Gones to attract the attention of many of Europe's elite clubs.
However, a report in the Daily Express claims that Arsenal will have to cough up a fee of around £8m if they are to land the France Under-21 international.
It is also suggested that the Gunners are willing to wait until next summer before making a move, with further strengthening of the defence an immediate priority in the New Year.
The London outfit are currently sixth in the Premier League table following yesterday's 3-2 defeat at the hands of Stoke City.
