Thierry Henry: 'No regrets over retirement decision'

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry admits that his decision to quit football following more than two decades in the game was a tough one, but not one he regrets.

Thierry Henry has admitted that life after football "feels weird" as he embarks on his new career as a pundit.

The 37-year-old announced his retirement from the game last week following two decades playing at the top for the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona, before seeing out his career at New York Red Bulls.

"It feels weird. Now, I can look back at my career, take it in and analyse it. It's bizarre," he told RMC. "It's not an easy decision, because it's something you have done for half your life.

"It was the good moment for me, I don't regret it. The dressing room, the evening of a big game, suffering together, I'm always going to miss it, but that's normal."

Henry will begin his new role with Sky Sports in 2015.
