Agent: Petr Cech "unlikely" to leave Chelsea in January

Petr Cech's agent claims that the keeper is "unlikely" to leave Chelsea in January, although hints that a move to Arsenal or Liverpool could be on the cards.

The agent of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed that a January exit from Stamford Bridge is "unlikely" to happen.

Cech has found himself playing understudy to first-choice stopper Thibaut Courtois this season, which has led to much speculation linking him with a move to an array of different clubs.

Viktor Kolar believes that the 32-year-old will remain at the Blues for the remainder of the season, although he sent a clear message out to both Arsenal and Liverpool with regards to the keeper's future plans.

"It's unlikely Petr will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window," he is quoted by The Mirror. "The club and coach want to keep him to help win the title.

"I think Arsenal should have made an offer to him. I think Petr would be considering it. Liverpool need to strengthen their position in goal and they know Petr will be available in the summer. We've been in contact with Real Madrid, but they don't need a keeper just now."

Cech, who joined Chelsea from Rennes in 2004, has made eight appearances for the club this season in all competitions.
