Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett claims that goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey can fulfil his potential.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has claimed that goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey can fulfil his potential.

The Welsh international has recently returned to action after 15 months out with a twice ruptured cruciate knee ligament.

Jackett believes that Hennessey can continue to develop as a player now that he has regained full fitness.

He told the Express & Star: "He can certainly fulfil his potential, there's no doubt that can be the case.

"Goalkeepers mature later, they have a different career span to outfield players and they often get to their peak later. He has that in his favour and, that being the case, he's just about coming into his best time.

"It's a big boost because he's a quality goalkeeper and he's looked very good in training."

Hennessey is expected to feature in Wolves' friendly against Barnsley on Saturday.
