Sunderland defender Michael Ledger to move to Norway?

Sunderland defender Michael Ledger is reportedly being allowed to complete a move to Norwegian side Notodden FK.

Defender Michael Ledger has reportedly moved to the brink of leaving Sunderland in order to sign for Notodden FK.

Ledger - who has never made a league appearance for the Black Cats - spent the start of the campaign at Hartlepool United but the National League side's financial situation led to the 20-year-old returning to the Stadium of Light.

However, according to the Sunderland Echo, Ledger is to be allowed to complete a permanent switch away from the North-East giants having agreed to move to Notodden, who play at the second tier of Norwegian football.

Ledger already has experience of playing in the country, having completed a loan spell at Viking FK during the first six months of 2017.

The report claims that the youngster will pen a two-year contract at his new club.
