Mauricio Pochettino dismisses Emmanuel Adebayor exit claims

Mauricio Pochettino reveals that Emmanuel Adebayor is doing well in training following his nine-week layoff, reiterating that the striker does have a future at the club.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has reiterated once more that Emmanuel Adebayor does have a future at White Hart Lane.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a move away from North London this January, and having been left out of Spurs' squad for last night's FA Cup victory over Burnley, speculation has only intensified.

However, Pochettino has moved to dismiss suggestions that the Togo international could be allowed to leave the club, claiming that the striker is nearing full fitness following a nine-week absence.

"Yes, I explained last week, he's nearly ready for selection," the London Evening Standard quotes him as saying. "He's training in the last few weeks; his training sessions have been very good."

Serie A outfit Parma are said to be among those interested in signing Adebayor before the mid-season window slams shut.
