Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp believes that the point his side gained against Sunderland earlier today could prove vital in their quest for Champions League football.
Spurs dominated large parts of the match at the Stadium of Light, but they were unable to find a way past Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
"It's always a difficult place to come but I thought it was a game we could have won," Redknapp told BBC Sport. "They looked to play on the counter-attack and it was difficult to break them down.
"It's an important point, though, and a clean sheet and if you keep picking up clean sheets you won't be far away."
The draw lifted Spurs up to third in the Premier League table.
