Sami Khedira: "Everything went well"

Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Sami Khedira says that "everything went well" with his recent knee surgery.

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has revealed that "everything went well" with his recent knee surgery.

The 26-year-old suffered a torn ligament in Germany's 1-1 draw with Italy last week, with subsequent tests revealing that the midfielder would require surgery to fix the issue.

Madrid confirmed on Sunday that the operation had been successful and now Khedira has had his say following the event.

"Everything went well, I feel good and now we just need patience. But all is well," Khedira told SWR.

It is believed that the midfielder could miss the World Cup.
