Nicklas Bendtner: 'I will play for Real Madrid or Barcelona'

Nicklas Bendtner says that he is confident of one day playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has said that he can see himself playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona at some point in his career.

The 25-year-old, whose last goal at club level was for Sunderland in April 2012, is likely to leave the Emirates Stadium when his contract expires next summer.

When asked by Danish publication Politiken where he saw his future, Bendtner replied: "Real Madrid or Barcelona."

The Danish international has made just two starts - both in the League Cup - for the Gunners since returning from an unsuccessful loan spell with Juventus last term.
