Jose Mourinho hopes luck is on his side

Jose Mourinho is hoping that luck is on his side during tonight's Champions League semi-final clash with Bayern Munich.

Jose Mourinho has said that he is due a slice of luck in tonight's Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.

The Portuguese manager does not believe that he has had the rub of the green in previous semi-final encounters, such as Chelsea infamous exit courtest of Luis Garcia's 'ghost goal' in 2005.

Mourinho said that his players are relaxed about tonight's clash at the Bernabeu.

"Overall, I have not been lucky in semi-finals of the Champions League," said the Real Madrid manager.

"I lost one with Chelsea [against Liverpool] due to a goal that wasn't a goal; the ball didn't cross the line. Another season we lost [to Liverpool] on penalties and when you lose a semi-final on penalties, it is due to bad luck. I lost the semi-final last season [against Barcelona] because of what everyone knows.

"[Tonight] is almost like a long-awaited final, but I see calmness in the players. I don't like an excess of emotion, nor a lack of it."

Mourinho has previously won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan.
