Report: Derek Boateng to leave Rayo Vallecano

A report claims that Derek Boateng could leave Rayo Vallecano this summer, less than two months after joining the club.

Derek Boateng could reportedly leave Rayo Vallecano this summer, less than two months after joining the club on a free transfer.

The Ghanaian spent the second half of last season with Fulham, but departed the Premier League club following their relegation to the Championship, before joining Rayo.

According to Marca, the 31-year-old has not met the required level expected by head coach Paco Jemez, who is keen to move the midfielder on before the start of the season.

A number of European clubs are believed to be monitoring proceedings.
