Ze Castro extends Rayo Vallecano stay

Portuguese defender Ze Castro signs a new short-term deal with Rayo Vallecano.

Portuguese defender Ze Castro has signed a new short-term deal with Rayo Vallecano.

The 31-year-old, who moved to the capital outfit last summer after leaving Deportivo La Coruna, made 19 appearances for Paco Jemez's side during the 2013-14 season.

It had been claimed that the experienced defender would seek pastures new this summer, but such speculation has now been ended following an agreement between the two parties.

Ze Castro, who has one international cap to his name, has also played for Academica and Atletico Madrid during a well-travelled career.
