Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is in Poland's 23-man World Cup squad but Monaco defender Kamil Glik is a doubt after picking up a shoulder injury.

Robert Lewandowski has been named in Poland's 23-man squad for this summer's World Cup in Russia.

The 29-year-old striker, who has asked to leave Bayern Munich for a new challenge, is the standout name in Adam Nawalka's contingent for the tournament.

Monaco defender Kamil Glik was also named in the squad but is now a doubt following a shoulder injury picked up in training shortly after the squad list was submitted to FIFA.

Injured players can be replaced up to 24 hours before the first game, with Stuttgart's Marcin Kaminski on standby.

In terms of England-based players, Ipswich Town goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski, Swansea City custodian Lukasz Fabianski, Southampton defender Jan Bednarek and Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki are on the plane to Russia.

Midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, who spent last season on loan at relegated West Bromwich Albion from Paris Saint-Germain, also makes Nawalka's squad for the finals.

Poland open their Group H campaign against Senegal in Moscow on June 19 before facing Colombia and Japan.
