Nottingham Forest could reportedly make a bid for Sunderland's England Under-21 striker Connor Wickham.
Wickham is currently on loan at fellow Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, but his stint at Hillsborough is due to finish at the end of this month.
According to SportsDirect News, Forest are ready to make a permanent bid for the 20-year-old and tempt him with a promotion push instead of a relegation battle with Wednesday.
Parent club Sunderland paid around £8m to sign Wickham from Ipswich Town and given his young age, they will want to recoup the majority of that if they are to sell.
Wickham recently said that he was "loving" his time at Wednesday, for whom he has scored eight goals in 12 starts.
