Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Bosnia-Herzegovina international Anel Hadzic.
The 24-year-old has been quoted as saying that he expects a deal to be completed in the next week, with just one year remaining on his current contract with Sturm Graz, according to Chronicle Live.
Meanwhile, media reports in his home country state that the midfielder has been attracting interest from a number of clubs in Europe, but that the Magpies are the favourites to sign him.
Hadzic featured in 31 games for the Austrian club last season, scoring four goals, and also started Bosnia's final group game at the World Cup last month.
