David Moyes has expressed his confidence that he will be able to bolster his Manchester United squad before the close of the transfer window.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players this summer, including Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, but they have so far failed with two bids for the Spanish international.
However, despite having only secured the services of young Uruguayan defender Guillermo Varela, manager Moyes believes that he will add to an already "good squad" shortly.
"We hope we will [sign new players], but what we've got is a good squad already. You can't forget about the quality that's already here," he told reporters.
"Undoubtedly we hope to add to it and I'm quite confident we'll do that - certainly before the window shuts."
Meanwhile, on the pursuit of Fabregas, he added: "I couldn't tell you if there will be another bid. Obviously we'll take stock and make a decision on what we do next. I never at any time said I knew we would get him. I just said we had made offers."
Barca have recently insisted that they have no intention of selling the former Arsenal player.
