Manchester United have reportedly agreed terms to push through a deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred.
Since the end of the season, it has been claimed that United have won the race to sign the Brazilian international, with both parties wanting a move to be completed before the World Cup.
On Sunday, Fred was in the North-West of England as Brazil played Croatia at Anfield, and the 25-year-old has since undergone a medical with the Premier League giants.
According to Sky Sports News, United are nearing the point where they can confirm the purchase of Fred, who is expected to cost in the region of £50m.
Fred has spent the majority of the last four years with the Ukrainian giants, and impressed for his current club when facing Manchester City in the Champions League this season.
